Biography
Marc Storace, born in Malta and raised in Switzerland, launched his extraordinary musical career in 1970 with the iconic Swiss band TEA. With the band, he released five LPs and quickly became known for his stage presence and his powerful, raw vocals.
In 1979, Marc became the lead singer of Krokus—Switzerland’s most successful hard rock band. Their debut album, *Metal Rendez-Vous*, was followed by worldwide tours across the U.S., Japan, Europe, and South America, over 15 million albums sold, and numerous gold and platinum certifications.
After the band broke up, Marc formed the group Blue, which released its self-titled album in 1991—including the well-known hit "You Can't Stop The Rainfall."
Marc remained very active throughout the 1990s and 2000s: he appeared in two feature films ("Anuk" and "Handyman"), achieved gold status once again with three more LPs as part of various Krokus lineups, and appeared as a guest musician on projects such as "Rock Meets Classic," "Sweet 50th Anniversary," "Ken Hensley Live in Switzerland," "Schubert In Rock," as well as on the albums "Amen" and the rock opera "Test" by Manfred Ehlert.
In 2008, the reunion of the original Krokus lineup took the rock world by surprise. This was followed by tours in the U.S., Japan, Europe, and South America, as well as two more platinum-selling studio albums. In December 2019, Krokus played their farewell concert to a sold-out crowd at Zurich’s Hallenstadion.
Marc Storace has been performing as a solo artist under the name Storace since 2021. His first solo album, "Live And Let Live," was released in late 2021, and despite the challenges of the pandemic, he immediately embarked on his first Swiss tour. Since May 2022, Marc has been taking the stage with his new band and rocking concert halls like never before.
Current Album
In 2023 and 2024, Marc worked intensively on the new studio album "Crossfire"—a massive hard rock album that he wrote together with guitarist Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper Band) and drummer Pat Aeby (Krokus, Gotus). The album was released on November 22, 2024, via Frontiers Music Srl. Produced by Tommy Henriksen and mixed by award-winning engineer Olle Romo, "Crossfire" delivers hard rock at its finest—featuring powerful choruses, heavy guitars, and a driving rhythm section.
Marc on the making of the album:
"Tommy Henriksen, despite his busy touring schedule with Alice Cooper, The Hollywood Vampires, and his work with Crossbone Skully, actually 'made time' to produce my Crossfire album! Hell yeah, that's what I call a good friend! Writing the songs with T felt like magic… And he even got the incredible Olle Romo, Mutt Lange's very own engineer, to mix the album… Unbelievable! It was like a match made in heaven!! Play It Loud!!"
